Trailer: https://youtu.be/408iDYzDDEs
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4359110
Hey. Solo dev. You're a clerk in the afterlife. The dead arrive with a file, a box of belongings and a story about themselves, and the story is usually not what happened. You work out what they actually did and stamp one of three: Hell, Heaven, Purgatory. And the exact circle.
The tools do the work. A candle you move over the body — hit the right spot and the flame changes colour, purple for Pride, red for Wrath. A rotary phone where you dial Hell about one specific detail of the case, and whoever picks up is not a helpful public servant. Lot of black humour, dialogue closer to Guy Ritchie than to anything solemn.
No score, no accuracy rating. The only thing you get back is the colour of the flame when the urn takes them. Souls are the bottleneck. 30-40 planned with variations and every one of them is a pile of design work, so most aren't written yet. Demo for Steam Next Fest in October. Are you judging the deed or the person? Every soul has one act that looks damning and a reason underneath it, and I still don't know if the game should ever say which one it scores.

Yes, I'll have to think about it, but I really liked it in the anime deadly billiards.

Your whole post sounds like AI slop. The image on steam looks ai generated. And the concept is not exactly new, so it would be hard to convince me to play this even though it is in my wheelhouse.

The banner in the store page is very obviously AI. Wouldn't touch this with a 59 and a half foot pole.

Unfortunately, I cannot show sketches here to provide proof of the work. You are entitled to think that way, but people are certainly no strangers to burning innocent people at the stake like witches in the Middle Ages, are they? Incidentally, there actually is a witch in the game who was burned at the stake.

I've added some sketches to my page; feel free to take a look. Could you describe in more detail what about the concept turns you off? I'm afraid you haven't fully understood what might interest you in this game. Yes, I agree with many things—the skipping tools, perhaps the mechanics—I tried to make them unique, but the characters' stories, how they react, how you uncover information piece by piece. I'd ask you to put aside your skepticism and take a look. Each character will evoke emotions in you, good or bad, you'll be happy or angry about their story. Therefore, if you're interested in this genre, I wouldn't pass it by.

the real pain is that games don't have many tools for people to find out about them, Indie sunday thanks the subreddit administration for the opportunity, but if someone accuses the game of using AI, it will fall into the common grave of projects that are worth attention, but the algorithms say otherwise. Investing resources, strength, and experience will go to the same grave, and even if you prove otherwise, the train has already left and even this person's apologies will not give you anything. In many ways, you will encounter these kinds of injustices in the game and you will have to find out the truth.
