I'm obviously not claiming that I'm about to launch a spacecraft and start mining an asteroid tomorrow. I understand that something like this could take many years and require serious work across spacecraft engineering, robotics, autonomous systems, asteroid prospecting, resource extraction and processing, orbital mechanics, propulsion, financing, economics, and regulation. One of my biggest motivations for creating this company is to explore whether we can dramatically expand humanity's resource supply while developing business models that allow the economic benefits of those resources to be distributed broadly throughout society. If humanity gains access to enormous extraterrestrial resources, I'd like to help make sure that abundance benefits ordinary people and the broader economy as much as possible I'm also closely following the ongoing UAP/UFO disclosure debate and the claims made by people such as David Grusch, Dr. Steven Greer, and others regarding alleged non-human intelligence, recovered craft, biological material, and advanced technologies. Until anything like that is actually demonstrated, however, I want to build this project around technologies that are known to exist or that we can realistically develop. Although it great that you're thinking about this kind of thing, how does a company like this exist today? There are a huge amount of technologies required that are not just impractical right now but not even in development anywhere on earth. How do you plan on running a company that's dependent on technology that doesn't exist? How will your company make profit at this point?

I can say that I want to start a company in faster than light speed travel, but it's not going to be solvent or profitable any time soon.

You're first exercise would be a simple delta V calculation to determine size and time frame of such a mission. That would enable you to estimate cost and required sample return size to meet economics.
