Which NBA series do you think needs more context?

preview

When you watch the NBA for a while, you watch many, many playoff series (hopefully). While you can look back on series and read stats and form an opinion based on those stats, sometimes there’s moments that need more context and explanation.

I’ll start. I truly believe the Warriors would have come back from 3-1 down against the Raptors if Klay hadn’t gotten hurt. People forget, but the biggest talking point out of Game 5 (besides KD’s injury) was that Nick Nurse massively fucked up. Kawhi had gone on a tear to win the game for the Raptors and Nurse inexplicably called a TO, allowing Steph and Klay to hit massive threes to eventually win the game.

Even Game 6, while close was turning into a massive Klay game and before he hurt himself, he truly felt on fire and would win the game. Nowadays, people often remember it as a massive Toronto triumph, but it truly felt that the Warriors momentum at the time (even taking a step back at the time) was that they would come back and bring the series to game 7 after Nurse’s fuckup and the start of a Klay’s game 6 classic.

What series needs more context to explain to folks who never saw it?
