What’s a movie that completely rewired how you watch movies after you saw it?
previewNot “favorite movie.” Not “best movie.” I mean the one that changed your taste, your standards, or the way you notice things on screen.
For me it was Children of Men. I went in expecting a grim action movie and came out noticing blocking, long takes, sound design, and how little a film actually needs to explain if the world feels lived-in.
After that I started watching movies differently. Less “what happens next,” more “how is this shot, why does this cut land, what is the movie doing to me.”
Curious what yours was.
