I am in a dilemma on what screen to watch movies

What is a better viewing experience?

Watching movies from my laptop which has a 1080p normal LCD panel, 14 inch display?

Or

watching movies in my 6.83 inches, 1.5K resolution, AMOLED, HDR10+ phone?

I do not have a TV to watch. My only option is these both only. I feel guilty not watching my beloved movies in a OLED and HDR screen when I am watching it in my Laptop.

Idk what to do :(

Laptop hands down. It’s bigger, isn’t moving, and isn’t trying to get you to open a social media app.

Why would you feel guilty? Do you have someone sitting next to you telling you to use the optimal cinema device?

Literally no reason to feel guilty over that

Laptop with a good pair of headphones is an underrated way to watch movies, imho, especially ones that are more intimate and small-scale.

But watching a full-length movie on a phone is an abomination.

I’d pick the 14-inch laptop for movies. The AMOLED phone will have better blacks, HDR and overall picture quality, but the laptop’s much larger screen makes a huge difference for immersion. You’re watching a movie, not testing the display

Laptop, but I don't understand why you feel guilty.

Laptop no question. I can’t imagine watching a movie on my phone. No matter how good the quality is the screen is to tiny.

I'm more curious as to why these are your only options.

I live in a third world country and tech items are insanely priced here due to taxes and stuff. Getting hands good quality monitor is not viable for me at this moment.

That makes sense. Whether you watch on the laptop or phone, your sacrificing something either way. Watch the one that brings you more joy and don't feel guilty about it.
