For me it was Cyberpunk 2077. After fixes and add ons its a fantastic game yet i've never come close to finishing it. I put myself back into the world at least a few times knowing its a good game but each time just turned it off and forgot about it for months on end. Then never again. Whats yours?

NieR Automata. I know that there is so much there in that game for me to love, but I just couldn’t stand the gameplay of it.

RE2R. All I wanted was for Capcom to give it the REmake treatment but they made too many changes for me to enjoy the game.

That would be Control for me.

The story felt flat and I couldn’t get into gameplay mechanics. I will try again at some point and see if I change my mind, but some games just don’t resonate (pun intended! Maybe I’ll like Resonant?!).

I really don't vibe with Subanautica at all despite loving other flagship titles in the genre

Baldur's Gate 3. I wanna love it so badly but I just cant get into it. I love the colorful graphics and the idea of assembling your team but every time i turn it on, I get about 30-60 minutes in and get bored.

The Witcher 3.

A good 8/10 game? Sure. THE GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME? Not even close.

Generic fantasy world 101, average gameplay, generic story (Main game), tear-inducingly boring start, one of the most awfully-written, counterintuitive choice systems of all time (Again, I'm talking main game and not the DLCs since HoS is awesome).

People praise it because of things like the Bloody Baron quest (which I think is one of the most well-executed questlines ever), but those top-tier things makes up 10% of the game and the rest of the 90% is just a generic RPG which is vastly inferior to many games.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Literally everything about this game is right up my alley;

An action RPG with a futuristic dystopia setting, an OST by Michael McMann, and an awesome main character (his voice sounds hot.)

Sadly, I’ve never been able to actually get into the game. I’ve tried to play it multiple times and I always end up dropping it after a few hours /:

You couldn't pay me to care about GTA5. I could barely get past the prologue. The writing immediately convinced me the game is secretly for 16 year olds. It can't decide whether or not to take itself seriously, it's an everything sandbox that doesn't excel at any one thing, and I just can't bring myself to give a shit, for the life of me.

I have high hopes for GTA6 but the last GTA to impress me in any meaningful way was San Andreas, from an era when no one was doing open world games like Rockstar was.

I enjoyed the game once I put that initial effort to go through all the pains and mechanics that did not seemed enjoyable at the first glance.

I tried Witcher 3, Cyberpunk and Starfield multiple times, it always ends up with uninstalling the game.
