Cant believe its almost 1 year after launch and the flares are STILL bugged. Even with the new jets releasing DICE didnt bother fixing them, I'd say about 50% of missiles go through.
Seems like working flares have become "lost tech" or something...

Not working? I played a match in AA and tried with the igla and couldn't kill a jet or fuckin heli for nothin because of below radar bs. Pop flares then they fly low where lock on isn't possible until flares are back up rinse and repeat.

It's never been fixed just like the heavy rockets upgrade not actually giving extra rockets for the PAX attack helicopter.

If you use the attack boat TOW lock on missile it'll just go straight through flares, even when it says "missed", it'll just loop around and hit them.

yeah but if missiles go straight through someones flares then theres not even time to go below radar is there? I had it today in my advantage, was a Jet and killed another jet flying in front of me even though I saw him flaring on time

I'm not sure if we're thinking about the same thing. The attack boat has a TOW missile that turns into a lock on within close proximity of an air vehicle, I think it's the only vehicle with that missile.
I think they tried to fix it but it's DICE and we gotta wait for the 5th targeted patch for this issue to properly fix it.
