I could play all game modes until 2 days ago, but now I can't play conquest breakthrough and hazard zone modes, I start it, I find the match, the black screen comes and sends it back to the home screen, what should I do?

Because for some reason, developers have this nasty habit of taking something that works and making it not work for extended lengths of time. Why? I have no idea.

It really feels like they’re letting BF2042 die on purpose to push people toward BF6 Season 3.

It looks clearly related to EA’s servers, not individual players’ PCs or connections. Yet there’s still no proper fix or meaningful communication. At this point, it feels like they don’t want to invest any effort into fixing BF2042 until they’re sure the player base has fully moved on.

Start matchmaking in TDM. When the countdown starts to launch--quickly exit matchmaking.

Now try matchmaking in conquest. If that does want work, re-launch the game and try again.

60% of the time, it works every time.

Right after the game went on one of the biggest sales on steam as well
