Why do you prefer 2042 over BF6? And past battlefield games?

Curious why people enjoy 2042 over what most of the battlefield community believes is the “worst” battlefield game.

Personally I alternate between this game and BF1. I bought at launch and over time have just gotten to know the entire game inside and out. I don’t mind BF6 in certain aspects but the incredibly fast ttk and the annoying UI puts me off of it. Also the way the battlepasses work is horrendous compared to the way bf2042 did it and skins in general have just become more annoying to try and equip.

However I am curious about your thoughts? I don’t believe 2042 is perfect but I do think it’s a fun game.

Lawls most people don’t understand there is no “bad” battlefield, sure some are better then others but each does something completely different unlike COD which draws people back in each time.

Take 2042 for example, after playing 6 for a bit and tired of the smaller maps, shorter match time, and limited options for guns and hear, I went to 2042 and was like “wow I never had this much fun while playing 6!” Due to all the extra guns, the large maps, and variety of vehicles and gear! Plus the longer match time was always great!

I guess this doesn’t really answer your question but as of right now 2042 is better then 6

Being able to call down transport was really nifty. Pond hawk made traversal really easy.

Falck's syrette gun was fun too for long range

The subsonic implementation felt a lot better than bf6. Faster velocity, no tracers

The easter eggs / phantom stuff in 2042 was pretty good. I had so much more fun with that than bf v's easter egg arg kind of stuff.

ive been wondering about this too. i think until bf6, i was able to have fun no matter how bad the game was like from bf1 to bf5 and 2042. I think i enjoyed 2042 overall as a game compared to bf6 right now. i remember feeling the same for bfV and 2042 but i had good times in both. It could be a number of reasons like I'm older now than 2042 so my reaction might not be as good? but i thought bf6 beta was just fine and had fun. Theres just probably a combo of things that just make it difficult to enjoy fully. I like to play on the more competitive side but the way the mechanics are in the game it just doesn't feel fun to try to win.

As someone who never played bf and 2042 being the first time, a lot of the maps gave me halo meets modern day infantry vibes and I dug that. Graphics were good and each map had its own strategy and quirks

There is a bad Battlefield, and 2042 was easily a bad game. And no, it's not better than BF6.

I enjoyed the beta as well. But I could not find myself actually wanting to play after a couple of hours playing the full release. It sorta felt like it took a step back from the beta. I am sure it’ll eventually improve but atm I can’t find any reason to play.

Because my bullets register 99% of the time when they should, and miss 99% of the time when they should. That alone makes me enjoy the game more than bf6. Tbh though neither is my go to game.

Whilst I have enjoyed my time in bf6, it is also the most frustrating one I have played.

Overall I enjoyed 2042 far more than I have enjoyed bf6

And i think that bf6 is the best game since 1 🤷‍♂️

Everyone's likes something more in one than in another. I personally played bf4 late and said it was the best game ever until I got educated by some others on how the launch went, then I got to experience the launch of bf5 and 2042 and yikes. Luckily bf6 had a decent launch at least in my books, and im not one to complain on maps because they are free end of the day, if i was paying for them id have more thoughts.
