Reminder that the shitass devs rug pulled us on Portal and left us having to scrape by for playable servers or find 3 other people to run casual game modes with. When I heard that most of them were laid off, I was kinda thrilled to know that BF7 has POTENTIAL to be a good game that LISTENS to their player base and doesn’t bait and switch them.

Battlefield 7 hasn’t even been announced. Why would firing staff give you that indication?

The devs aren’t to blame - if anything, it’s the execs (as it is with most studios). You don’t get into game development without a love of video games.

I dislike the portal rug pull as well, but I doubt this is a developer decision and more likely corporate. (Gotta sell them tier skips!!)

As always, look for the rich and wealthy making money, not the dev who's threatened with unemployment if the shareholder ROI is less than 650%

Execs/Corporate have no idea what tf PVE even is and wouldn’t even care if it was in the game or not, the decision to make it harder for people to play by themselves in a match is counterintuitive to making money and a separate issue for them

Yup I still think about it every now and then. I’ve played the game a solid 3 times since they rug pulled XP & Progression in Portal when they added in breakthrough casual. Just the thought of it doesn’t necessarily piss me off but leaves me very disappointed because I thought they really cared about all sides of the battlefield community. I have been playing other games on my off days from work and I’ve been way more happier.
