It wouldn't make any difference. In fact it's happened to me many times. Once or twice he didn't speak English but the other times it happened, if we kept playing rounds and kept talking and they said they were playing from Mexico it was never a big deal no matter how thick the accent was.

Not a big deal. I once had a match with a dude who was very communicative in English. I rezzed him one time and he was like "Thanks brother", I replied with "de nada", he then goes "Ahhh!" , to which I replied, "ummm, no, sorry, my Spanish is limited to a few phrases like 'de nada' and 'uno mas cerveza por favor'". He laughed, I laughed, good times. Then we got crushed in the match.
