Only a true fan with nostalgia for bad company 2 can make these awesome videos, I literally tear up sometimes when I think of 2010 summer, it was my first true FPS, Thank you for making these awesome videos, and music is great in these videos

DICE: We don’t know what made BFBC2 so great.

Just remaster it then.

My favourite FPS of all time, nothing comes close to BC2. I pray for a remaster, and I would prefer that more than a remake. I want it exactly the way it was. I couldn’t wait to get home from school so I could play.
I sometimes go back and binge TheRussianBadgers old BC2 videos to relive the nostalgia.

Man, Summer 2010 was a different era. Nothing has matched that vibe since. Honestly, comments like this are exactly why I started making these tracks—to keep that spirit alive even if the servers eventually go dark. Glad it hit home

Glad this video brought back that feeling.

Remember playing the beta for the 1st time. BC2 was my introduction to the Battlefield series and will always hold a place in my heart.

If they dropped a remaster it would probably have more daily players than BF6 😂

BC2 set the bar incredibly high. Thanks for listening, making this video was a huge nostalgia trip for me too

Port Valdez, the track "Snowy Mountains" playing as the map zoomed to show the layout and progression of objectives before loading in. Damn, what a feeling that was. I played tf out of the beta and no telling how many hours in the main game.

Without going into details, I used to work in the simulators-as-entertainment business. There was a point around 2000-2005 where “we need more realism!” was such a rallying cry that all the simulator software (especially combat) went SUUUUPER deep into making the experience so real that you almost needed to be trained as a real fighter pilot to understand how to get the jet off the ground the first time. This was the death knell for most of the jet fighter/helicopter sims because people bought them and realized IT WASN’T FUN ANY MORE. More like doing homework. Turned out the people crying for “more realism” were a very small, highly vocal group. The other 99% still wanted the fun bias. This change in the industry almost (totally?) killed the sims-as-entertainment market.

Why am I telling this story? I have watched Battlefield go through the same unfortunate decline from BF1942/BFBC/BFBC2 to where we are today. More realistic? Sure. More fun? Probably not. BFBC2 was the pinnacle of “a perfect balance”.
