Hello!

Me and my friends are planning to play quake 3 this Friday. We wish to play instagib mod with rail jump in dedicated server. I managed to make instagib server with osp but I haven't been able to enable rail jumping.

After googling for a bit I found out that osp doesn't support railjumping and I need Instaunlagged mod. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a secure download for this mod. Can anyone help me with this? :)

Google it, looks like there's 1.32 and 1.16 versions depending on what version you're playing

I know for sure I've 'heard' of this before... but I don't know that I've actually seen a server for it.

Maybe I can filter for it in the game.

Anyway... sounds fun. Hope you guys have a blast.

I used to host lan parties back in the day. Lots of them, and some kinda big, sorta. Anyway... the most fun I've ever seen a crowd have with Quake is the 'Catch the Chicken' mod.

Unfortunately I couldn't get the noghost mod working. I managed to start up the server and load one of the premade configs but all of the noghost commands were just printed to console instead of executing. I also tried to execute commands one at a time from the server console but that also didn't work. It seems to me that this mod only supports the 1.16 version but I have 1.32 which I got from Steam. I'm a little scared to download 1.16 version of Quake 3 from sketchy website because I don't want a virus :D

At least the OSP server works with instagib mod. Only thing missing is the rail jump but its not that big deal :P

I've never played the chicken mod but it seems really fun, I might look into it if I have time tomorrow :)

Instagib mode used to be very populay back in the day. You only have railgun with unlimited bullets and 1 shot = 1 kill.

I play insta pretty regular... just not with rail-jump.

now i would just use e+ (excessiveplus)

i still got my quake 3 folder with all the mods+servers.exe(? or was another format cant remember) ready to go and get a server up if u want it
