Im looking to play Brutal wolf 3d but im having issues setting up. Does anyone know the best way to do it or am i missing something?

If it crashes or won’t start, try launching the source port by itself first, then add the mod through its launcher or drag-and-drop method. Also verify that the files aren’t nested in an extra folder—mods often fail when the .pk3 files are one directory too deep.

Make sure you’re using the exact source port and game version the mod requires, then copy the mod files into that port’s folder and launch it with the included .bat or command-line parameters. If it still fails, check the readme for load order and required base-game files.

If you’re running the original DOS version, that may be the problem—Brutal Wolfenstein 3D usually needs a compatible source port. Try ECWolf or LZDoom, then launch the mod’s supplied .pk3/.ecwolf file rather than the base game executable.

Brutal Wolfenstein is actually a Total Conversion for Doom 2. So it's gonna require the Doom 2 iwad, UZDoom, and some sort of launcher like ZDL or Doom Runner

It's a doom mod, use GZDoom or something to run it.

So there are two versions, but either should work with the latest gzdoom or uzdoom source ports:

The two versions are Brutal Wolfenstein 3D ver. 7.2 and Part 2 which is in development. If you’re new I’d start with ver. 7.2.

Also check out Blades of Agony. It comes with its own executable.

I honestly think these are two of the best boomer shooters of the last 10 years.
