I recently finished Quake 2 base campaign and found it very slow, boring, and way too easy. Are there any mods that speed the game up or make it harder? I would like to play the expansions and want the game to be more exciting. Are there mods for that?

It's one of the first games I've ever played, on a shitty audioless recycled work pc, good times, very fond of that time. I also think Quake 2 just sucks and is boring in general lol.

Have you played it through the remaster? I know that one does some balance changes that would make for a more challenging game, not sure if it makes the game interesting though

Uninstall it, install Quake 1 and play that instead.
