Tim is an….eccentric guy to say the least.
He was not at Quakecon. However, Todd Hollenshead (id’s former president) was there this year just hanging out.
I get the vibe when Tim talks he's full of shit, his persona..I can read people well and I can see why he vanished.
He had somewhat of a farewell Quakecon a few years back when he left ID and they played a John Denver song over the speakers at the BYOC for him.

Sandy Petersen said about Tim multiple times that he is a “snake in the grass” and nobody from id contradict him, as they usually do when he speaks about id or doom and quake games. Apparently, Tim sabotaged American McGee which was fired by Carmack because of this. Tim claimed that he invented the death match, but he joined id during Quake era. id fans love to hate Tim. He was multiple times at QuakeCon when he was producer and director at id.
I met him at Quakecon 2019 when he was leaving for Saber.
Still not forgiving Tim for RAGE. That game was trash.
