Sandy Petersen said about Tim multiple times that he is a “snake in the grass” and nobody from id contradict him, as they usually do when he speaks about id or doom and quake games. Apparently, Tim sabotaged American McGee which was fired by Carmack because of this. Tim claimed that he invented the death match, but he joined id during Quake era. id fans love to hate Tim. He was multiple times at QuakeCon when he was producer and director at id.
