I occasionally play on F|A Beginners #2 and always when the next map is loading, my ET closes itself.

Does anybody have a solution for this?

Information that might be important:
- ET 2.60b
- Windows 11 64bit

Use ET:Legacy, the 32-bit version. Also, delete the “jaymod” directory in your ET folder. If you want to save your config / XP, copy the profile subfolder and ETKey and replace after wiping the directory.

Just out of curiosity, what's up with deleting JayMod?

I remember back in the day it was one of my favorite mods. So good memories on it.

The mod files will redownload when he reconnects to the FA server.

FA still has JM servers. Hell, FA 1 XP Save is the most active server left in the game

its the "DLdisconnected" cvar they have enabled. You should only see it on maps you dont have already.

It has nothing to do with the client jaymod directory. It is a server side setting.

Server cant cause the client to terminate unless it sends a message that somehow causes a segfault or an illegal operation per the operating system.

I’ve seen and worked on the code, there is literally nothing in the server commands that the client can receive that will tell the client to terminate itself.

It is literally a cvar called wwwDLdisconnected. I have been running ET servers for ten years. Daredevil at FA told me once they set this to 1 on FA servers. I tried it and it disconnects players if they are missing the pk3 for the next map. I quickly reset it to 0 because most people dont want to get booted.
