Hi. I've been recently playing a lot of QL racing, so I've decided to try to get into Q3DF as well. I've got the DF mod up and running, everything seems okay, and i got one map to work normally, but is there any comprehensive download of every map somewhere? Maybe i'm not looking at the right places.

Also, do literally all of the DF maps have to be downloaded? I tried joining an online game only that say that I was missing the map file. Is there a setting that auto-downloads it, or is everything required to be pre-downloaded?

There is a setting to auto download. It's been a while since I've enabled it (I just turn it on and forget about it) but it's somewhere in the options menu.

I think setting "cl_allowdowload" to 1 in the console should do the trick.

I've turned on auto download, but it seems to still say that "It couldn't load x map". I don't know what seems to be the problem here, do I have to change something else as well?

Not sure myself. Have you tried several servers? Does it give that error in every server you try?

yeah, it's strange. I've tried several servers but it doesn't seem to be able to pull and autodownload the map file. I tried using cl\_allowdownload, cl\_mapautodownload. I also tried changing the dl\_source to

"http://ws.q3df.org/maps/download/%m"

maybe I'm doing something else wrong?

I've never done it in the console before- I'll check it out when I can, but I'm sure it's in the in game graphical options.
