as stated in title i am looking for rocket arena or clan arena, im not sure what's its name.

Years ago i played it with friends, now i want to play some more and my kid has shown interest in game.
Basically is normal quake moded in a way that makes you not take damage from your weapons so you can use them as speed up/jump.

I remember some console commands needed to make it work, such as /callvote_cpm1 /callvote fastrail /callvote mode 5 q3dm6
Obviously there is something called mode 5, q3dm6 is map. I tried using these in console, nothing special happens.
I believe you know what im asking for.

So, if anyone can direct me on how to activate it i would be grateful.
Im not sure if download is needed or just some console commands.
Hour+ of google search and countless download didnt yield any results.

It’s actually Clan Arena that you’re looking for. It was a mod made by a company/group which had something with ‘orange’ in their name if I recall correctly. Haven’t played or seen it in ages though.. Hope it still exists!

Clan Arena is very popular in Quake Live (you can see a good server list over on http://ql.syncore.org ). So if you can get that, it would be the easiest way to play it online or LAN, the interface is much more suited to the modern PC.

Otherwise yes, Rocket Arena is what you are looking for as a Quake 3 mod, but it'll be harder to find online games, and you'll need to do some digging around to learn how to set it up.

Alen-Opasnost4, I just downloaded orange smoothie and that is not it. I remember that group too. You can find the Rocket Arena 3 mod at the mod db as listed in another post.

I used to play Rocket Arena 3 also, but stopped around 2005. I just tried to run it using quake3-132e source port and it sort of loads, but it does not work right.

I think the best thing is just quake live, but it might be sort of cool to run that.

Another mod is Urban Terror, which I've tried to run from time to time, but I didn't play that much back in the day.

If you search for RA3 games on quakeservers.net you can see the game type is sometime actually CPMA or Excessive Plus. I might try the latter. I never played either and never heard of Execessive Plus, but it seems active with the Quake 3 Discord Channel as the default mod.

Quake, QuakeWorld and Quake 2 have kept up much more with compatible source ports than Quake 3 did. Thankfully Quake Live came along and replaced Quake 3, though it is not able to be run independent of publisher.
