I wanted to do chronological replay Old Blood, NO and NC after years but first ten seconds of Old Blood made me sad. The game is capped at 60Hz and now I read NO is capped too because of the same engine.

I do not remember this being a thing in my first playthrough, maybe it was less noticeable because I had waaay slower monitor... but on 360Hz OLED I have now it feels choppy and in some sections with lots of things flying a explosions, it is desorienting for me.

Is there any quick and easy way to uncap it or at least make it 120+ Hz? How broken is the game if I do it? Is NC capped too?

New colossus uncap. I had easy 300+ fps on my 240 hz monitor

I used lossless scaling to achieve a high FPS.

That's odd, my screen was fine when using it.

If you are used to it, hey... play it the way you can.

30 is really not much tho, for me even on 60fps with 360Hz monitor I can kinda see the individual frames coming up. I got used to having more than 120 fps in most games for few years now so it's hard for me to go with less

Check pcgamingwiki of both NO and OB for how to cap fps to 60+ (and other QOL/tweaks), bugs caused by high fps are listed there too. I played both games capped at 90 fps the whole time with no problems other than one glitchy wall climb at start of NO. Also you can then use something like lossless scaling frame gen and nvidia DLDSR since your GPU usage will probably be low. And if i remember correctly higher fps caused textures to load slowly and i think increasing vt_maxPPF to 16 or 32 fixed it.

There is a program for it id tweaker or something. Literally just google "the old blood fps unlock" and you will find it instantly.

Seems legit, i generally play about 20-30fps due low specs, i just used to it, never seen a 120fps game on a 120hz monitor

Yes as stated before, Idtweaker can be used to change the fps limit with TOB and TNO. But it will come at a cost of softlocks. For example in TNO there will be a fight where drones get stuck out of bounds and there is no way to proceed as these drones need to be destroyed for the fight to progress (and end the level)

In TNC you can set the fps limit in settings but running the game at a constant +200fps will cause annoying crashing. Set limit to 200 to stop them from happening.

I solved the issue with enabling framegen in AMD Adrenaline. Not perfect, but at least 120fps without breaking the game.
