I don’t care for the default fog feature on VkQuake
I wish there was a way to toggle it off easily. I can remove it through the console but it comes back every time I respawn.
(I know the new mission packs make use of the fog feature…)

It's not really a "feature" of just vkQuake.
If you are playing using vkQuake and "remastered" assets, the maps from Quake, SOA and DOE all have fog settings in them.
But if you play using original assets, you won't get fog in these campaigns' levels.
