My table is running dnd 5e with the Monster Trainer's Handbook from Dungeon in a box.

Think if pokemon and dnd had a baby lol.

We are having awesome story moments and even awesomer downtime conversations with the Wildkin at center of attention.

My antisocial ass is still struggling with finding/attending games. I do ho to one being run at my local library, so there's that, I guess.

I just introduced a group to Edge of the Empire, two sessions in and they already are asking for two games a week like we are in high-school again.

Life is hitting me HARD. so for the forseable future, it’s not going anywhere

Coming close to the end of the 10 episode run.

I love SWRPG soooo much fun. I am using the Age of Rebellion source book and running a Clone Wars era game.

Can't find a group that passes the vibe check with good chemistry and a decent sense of humor.

My last group was a pf2e group. But they had no sense of humor, tactics, or teamwork. One person needed constant handholding, another tried to cheat and micromanage the table. So I dropped it.

I ran a few goblin themed oneshots in 5.5e with some acquintences online... partially so my wife could play lol. The were fun enough. I modified the short rest rules so they had to spend an hour breaking stuff or causing mayhem to "rest".

Considering doing paid GM stuff.

Still looking for a good group while I read Draw Steel and theory craft pf2e characters lol

I don't really have "a table". I'm in a club and we play various games with various people.

I'm running Eat the Reich for the first time in a couple days, it'll be fun.

Wrapping up a 1-1/2 year or so campaign. Started with 5 players, one (a great player) moved out-of-state and his replacement has filled in nicely. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Getting to the end with nearly all the same players as at the start is very rare and I’m very happy about that.

Other things I liked as a DM:
\- The players were good players: minimal drama, they’d show up ready to play, a good combination of witty table banter vs actual play, just about perfect. Some of them did have a habit of doing other things on their laptops (it was an in-person game but people use laptops for D&D Beyond and other tools, plus their sheets). Some would watch sports or read anime while we were playing, that kinda irked me, but it didn’t gum up the works too bad.
\- I finally got to run an old published module I’ve had for literally for decades. It’s got great dungeon designs, NPCs, BBEGs, overriding plot, etc. I had to modify it for 5E as well as adapt to modern sensibilities (modules in the 80s had, shall we say, numerous “problems”).
\- I got pretty good at running encounters after a while. It was clunky at first but then I found a bunch of ways to streamline it.

As always, though, I’m self-critical. Some things I’d do differently:
\- more RP of NPCs, enemies, etc. I didn’t do too bad, but I want to amp it up next campaign.
\- this includes tailoring more to backstories
\- I didn’t railroad too much, but that campaign was still pretty linear. I want to open up the world more, lean more towards the sandbox.
\- too many of my encounters were simply lame. I was only building to CR, not to the action economy. I will definitely correct that next time.
\- too much power creep. They finished a tough dungeon and barely scratched the surface of their magic items.

In the very early stages of my next campaign, it’ll run off Kobold Press’ Tales of the Valiant system. I’m going to focus more on the RP and run it more as a low-magic campaign than what I did before.

In four games at the moment with mostly the same people, all biweekly (we have a lot of people who want to GM). Most of them are PF2, but I've been running Things From the Flood!

It's our first experience with a Year Zero Engine game and we're all really enjoying it. The only hard part is getting them to interact with the mystery because apparently I'm really good at running teen drama and that's where their focus is. So sometimes I just have to have the mystery happen to them or someone they care about to get them back on track

I’ve been searching for a campaign to play in for about two years now. I still run lots of games (and for fellow GMs too.) 🤷 The bad luck gets me down sometimes. I’m only interested into narrative rules-light storygame type of stuff, not into horror or dungeons, and only available on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 3 - 8 PMish Pacific time. I’ll happily take turns running games, too. I’ve been playing the solo game Koriko: A Magical Year in the meantime.

As for what I’m running, I’m running a weekly space fantasy Thirsty Sword Lesbians campaign and a couple of pbp games of the same, plus one shots of Defy the Gods. I’ve really enjoyed Defy the Gods but it’s such a new system, not many are talking about it yet. I’ve been tentatively pleased with the slow revival of the TSL discord community; though I know it takes time. I’d like to also host the gmless game Cantrip sometime soon, for “cozy” slice-of-life magical intrigue and exploration.

My Rise of the Runelords game has devolved into my players being gremlins and asking about shoe sizes on every NPC they meet. It's not a serious game and the players are acting accordingly. If it were something I'd written, they'd be much less goblin-y.

My other pathfinder game is firing on all cylinders. My ratfolk theurge just shot executed his mafia loan shark, so he's got that going for him.

My once a month group group that meets up to do new systems is growing, meaning we might have three tables this month. I love it.

Honestly, not too great. I went from running six games a week, professionally, and being able to pay all of my bills and live fairly comfortably, to running three games a week. For the past five years I’ve been able to do what I love to pay my bills, and now I’m back on the job hunt.
