I haven't played this in a long time due to how frustrating the hit-reg and constant insta-deaths to any weapon to and range. Guess what, it's worse than ever. I have a high-end rig and normally have a ping of 4ms as I live in the middle of Germany. I'm constantly on server with players with 200+ ping and it feels as though I have the 200+ ping. I'm emptying magazines into players from close distance and hear hit markers, then I get insta-killed and it shows I've landed one bullet and they've hit me with 5...! I'm constantly getting killed seconds after getting behind cover and it seems my bullets are jelly beans. Anyway, I'm done with this game....after being a 15 year vet of Battlefield games.

Hi,
Sorry to hear you're having this experience.
Since you've mentioned the issue feels worse than before, could you let us know if you've noticed it across multiple servers, or only on certain ones?

For me, in one match the game feels smooth like butter, shooting feels crisp, i'm hitting everything, it's pure joy. Then next session, although i have 130fps average, the game feels like i have 60fps and my guns feel like a paintball marker and bullets disappearing into thin air...
since we don't have dedicated servers how should we know if it is a "certain one"? ^^

What do you mean by “multiple servers”?
We have no idea which server the lobby dumps us into. I click Multiplayer → Custom Search, pick my mode and maps, hit Play — the map loads, and it’s lag city: constant rubberbanding.
I’m actually seeing packet loss warnings every time I kill someone or get killed. The game is in an abysmal state right now.

The netcode in Battlefield 6 remains its main weakness and continues to frustrate the community. While the game is widely praised for its core mechanics and atmosphere, the networking side suffers from several persistent issues: Instant Deaths ("Super-bullets"): Due to a sync delay between the client and the server, it often feels like you are taking 4 or 5 hits in a single frame, making death feel instantaneous with zero time to react.Dying Behind Cover: You think you've safely broken line of sight behind a wall, but aggressive server-side lag compensation still validates the opponent's shots on their screen.Hit Registration Issues (Hitreg): Players frequently dump half a magazine or hit targets (especially with RPGs or vehicles) with visible impact effects, only for the server to register no damage.Low-Ping Disadvantage: High lag compensation can sometimes favor high-ping players or create unfair desync during 1v1 gunfights.
A significant latency gap (12 ms vs 150 ms) mainly leads to getting shot behind cover, an unfair peeker's advantage, and overall synchronization issues.
These problems stem from how the netcode and lag compensation attempt to reconcile both players' actions on the server:
Common Issues Encountered In-Game
Death Behind Cover
What happens: The 12 ms player moves behind a wall. On the 150 ms player's screen, they are still visible for a fraction of a second. If the 150 ms player shoots, the server rewinds time to validate the hit, killing the low-ping player even though they were safely behind cover on their screen.
Peeker's Advantage
What happens: When swinging around a corner, the 150 ms player sees the 12 ms player first. It takes 150 ms for the server to process and relay that movement to the low-ping player, giving the high-ping player an artificial extra window of reaction time to land the shot.
Delayed or Rejected Hit Registration
For the 150 ms player: Shots take noticeably longer to be confirmed by the server, creating a hit-marker delay. Furthermore, if the server enforces a strict maximum rollback limit, hits that clearly connected on the high-ping player's screen might be completely rejected by the server (hit rejection).
As far as the server sometimes have some desync problem and that why sometimes hit reg is bad. But really its not every game but its happen..... People with high ping is a real problem because there is something wrong with the lag compensation which favorise them....

I'm done with this game, gunfights are a joke, I get sniped with ARs, Carbines or SMGs while I try every gun and hitmarker for eternity, the map doesn't matter, the ping can be anywhere below 80ms it doesn't matter anymore. I built a powerhouse of a PC (7950x3d and 4090 + 64gb RAM) to play this game without a single worry and devs screwed it completely with the so called fairness, it feels like you made it worse for everyone in the middle.

@EA_Yafo, As has been mentioned by comments above, I cannot select which servers I'm on. You fixed something some months ago and the game was great until the next update and back to hit-marker/insta-death central. This game is a joy to play when the netcode is good but it seems that if I play 20 games, 2 or 3 feel perfect and my shots land and I can actually react to incoming bullets. The other 17 games leave me asking myself, why am I putting myself through this endless frustration. How comes I seem to get penalized for having a 4ms ping and why are there so many high ping players on our European servers these days. I went back to BF1 and BF4 at the weekend and they were a pure joy to play.

i deal with this garbage every time i play the game, it feels like the game is just pushing us kbam players away. i shoot someone who is standing still and the first 2 bullets hit and then the rest suddenly just go poof meanwhile im using a gun with very little to no recoil especially at a close range. why is it suddenly so hard for game developers to make guns act correctly on the keyboard and mouse input?

i also play from Germany with a ping between 12-14ms, i have exactly the same problems.

the main issue for me is if there is a lot of console players in the lobby the server is screwed. Feels awful and get instakilled alot. If the lobby is mostly pc it's fine.

This morning I joined a match where I barely fired a few rounds and the enemy went down, the match after this I was emptying nearly a whole mag & they could turn around and drop me in a second. There is a clear bias for players/teams?
Needs to be addressed ASAP as this is killing the game massively

Because this game is for noobs. Damage to any body part other than the head is extremely high, while headshot damage is low. Throw in a massive RNG factor and an effect where your crosshair constantly drifts across the screen. That’s it—the recipe is complete: any noob with a fast-firing, highly inaccurate weapon has just as good a chance of getting a kill as a skilled player. Meanwhile, the skilled player simply can't utilize their ability, because the game mechanics inject unpredictable cursor movement in random directions into their mouse inputs.
It’s a lousy game for anyone who actually knows how to play shooters. You just can't play it for long; there’s no fun to be had.
