I've been playing Battlefield since 1942. Obviously some of the games are stronger than others. My personal favorite was Battlefield 2. Squads, commander role, more class specialization, I don't know there was another entry in the series that was a bigger quantum leap than that. BC2 is an undeniable classic. BF1 is incredible, BFV, despite a shaky launch, made up for it with the Pacific DLC. After playing BF6 for an hour or two, this game rocks. Sure there's a bewildering array of achievements and unlocks and cosmetics that I can barely comprehend, but the gameplay smacks of classic BF4. This is what the series needed. I may have missed the rocky start but all the belly-aching and "mixed" reviews... people need to chill out and learn how to enjoy things again.

Get ready to be flooded by cry babies that hate the game but still post here regularly for some reason. Yeah it's far from perfect and has its issues but its pretty fun and seems to finally be heading in a better direction.

BF6 doesn't deserve the mixed rating. It's a much better game than that.

I havent played CoD since MW 2019. The movement does feel fast sometimes, but the more noticeable change in movement for me was when they added the slide mechanic in BF:V. It hasnt been different enough for me to feel out of my element when a majority of my time in the series has been in BF2 and BF4.

I play a lot even though the game is not as great as some players say. Many players are severely disadvantaged because of latency issues and cheating. I know, some will say there are no cheaters but you know what they say about opinions. Just my opinion so don't bother responding because there have been cheaters since the beginning of online gaming and it will never change. BF6 is no different so just play and have fun with the knowledge that some things will never change.

Nobody who actually played old battlefield games thinks this is like COD... If anything COD became more like Battlefield during the Modern Warfare era...
Even if I watch gameplay from BF3, BF4 it was almost the exact same game in terms of speed and gameplay flow.

Hey, folks.
It's always great seeing players with different Battlefield experiences share what they're enjoying.
Battlefield has evolved over the years, but things like class teamwork, vehicles, large-scale battles, and those memorable moments have always been at the heart of the series.
For those of you who've played across multiple Battlefield titles, what keeps bringing you back?

Well for me I'm just addicted. Kind of like a loser playing slot machines. They know they are going to lose but they just can't stop. It's a problem. I know there are bad net codes and latency issues along with everything else but I just can't stop.

I should have made it clear that BF6 is my first in the franchise. And I haven't played a COD.
So as someone who is new to these kinds of games, BF6 is a solid and a fun game.
In other words, if you don't compare it and if you just independently review it without being nostalgic/bias, it's a great game.
At least for casual players and players like me, it's a great game imo.

Not even close. The game isn't perfect but it's mid. Good enough but not amazing. Lots of early mistakes being corrected now.

BF4 Jihaad jeep was just fun. Even if you weren't effective, you could contribute and get a laugh.
In BF6 I like the destruction mostly. SMGs are too accurate at distance though. Makes CQC maps kinda sucky. Almost like SMGs IRL are good because of their handling in CQC and not their accuracy ;)
