Seems this game fully freezes and locks up your pc if you use specific AMD CPU's. From what i can tell its a known issue for months and not been patched by the devs.
Very Fun

start with updating your chipset driver direct from AMD......the newest one has not made its way to most motherboard support pages......

This would of been one of the first things people try (updating drivers) the game has problems

There was an issue ith X3D cpu's and if you have the IGPU disabled it would hard lock the system. That was fixed mid june. There is now new issues with the game hardlocking since July 16th which I think is a different issue.

same here. gpu is going to 100% on boot up, then everythings at 4fps. sometimes it'll just crash, but now i've tried messing with the igpu to make sure it's off, and now the game looks normal until you get to press start, then it'll black screen most of the time and shut down my pc. i cant even get into the menu.

You're talking like the issue is widespread yet me and my friends with AMD cpus can play just fine, this seems to be a you problem. Time to learn how to diagnose your PC.

you missed the point.....most people go to the support page of the motherboard and this is the problem....most motherboard makers stop updating drivers at the 2 to 4 year mark regardless of current drivers
right now the current chipset driver works on everything back to A320 motherboards that were released in 2016!!! but we have B650 motherboards that do not have the current driver listed on their support page even when that chipset is effected and the driver works on that board with no issues.....
my ASUS TUF X570 board has a driver from 2024 listed as current when my system was helped by updated to current driver.....
IF YOU HAVE NOT GOTTEN THE DRIVER DIRECT FROM AMD'S SUPPORT PAGE THERE ARE GOOD ODDS ITS OUT OF DATE.......end of story.....

The latest AMD chipset driver is 8.05.04.516
Also seen a new realtek audio driver (6.0.10007.1) was out and while browsing my MB's support page, noticed my AMD wifi driver was 2 years outdated...
Hopefully this helps with some problems I've been having in BF6

It's not just X3D cpus. I'm running on an 9700X and my brother has a 9800X3D.
We were both crashing and mine only stopped with iGPU fix.
I really hope they've added it to a patch as I was concerned months ago that this was going to become one of those "You have to be in the know" kind of things so you could fix the game yourself to continue to play it.
Most people aren't going to start going into the BIOs and switching settings on/off. Especially if they're running prebuilts.

Thanks for the update didn't know vanilla Zen 5 had similar issues. Right now i'm looking at EA to fix this I don't not believe AMD or NV drivers are at fault. And they need to get on this ASAP i've not been able to play this game like 3 months out of the year so far which is unacceptable.

Hey, folks
Right now, the team is reviewing issues around both AMD and Nvidia. I do know that players with Nvidia reported having more stable play with these:

However, with AMD, I see they are still investigating, and rolling back is still the workaround most reported working for them.

The issue seems to be broken on Win 10 and working on Win 11 on the AMD side.

While some players report smoother frame delivery on Windows 11, community reports across forums indicate driver timeouts and DXGI crashes on both Windows 10 and Windows 11. Rolling back to AMD driver 26.3.1 or reducing the GPU Max Frequency Offset by -150 to -200 MHz in Adrenalin remains the most reliable community workaround for stabilizing performance across both operating systems.

Had the same with my 7900XTX on driver 26.6.4 - went back to 26.6.2 and it works fine. Haven't tested the new 26.7.1 yet.
