im having an issue that i cant figure out how to fix.
"EA AntiCheat has detected an incompatible driver. Please update or disable 'c\program files
(x86)\evga\kernel\driver-x64.sys' and restart. (119) "
the anti cheat is detecting an old EVGA driver from a GPU i haven't used in years and don't know how to track down and remove. would really appreciate any help some of you could give.
im typing in " 'c\program files(x86)\evga\kernel\driver-x64.sys' ' and getting nothing

Maybe try DDU in safe mode and no internet connection to safely removed old drivers. Then reinstall your gpu driver. Besides that idk, But Weird for sure.

its not a gpu specific driver its a generic driver that any EVGA software uses to communicate with any EVGA branded hardware. I have it via EVGA flow control for my AIO cooler

Renaming x86 EVGA .sys files to .bak seems to have helped me.
there are two locations of the files, the ones on pop up for me were x86 and renamed those to .bak.
I do use Precision X1 and went in and reloaded my saved config, since it does default after updates on games (i have noticed this on other games as well.)
So i went in and made sure the same undervolt and fan curves were running , and they are.
played for about 45 minutes straight no issues.
note I also did a shutdown and switched off power supply for 15 seconds. this may not matter, but I have had driver issues resolved this way on other situations. might as well do it as well.

My workaround for the error is like the above quote. After startup, make sure X1 is running, then go into the Program Files X86 - EVGA - Kernel folder and change the name of driver-x64.sys to driver-x64.sys.bak then you can load BF and it shouldn't give you the error code and everything should run fine with X1 doing its job. I found it will reset the file upon restart/shutdown.

ok folks here is the facts.....its from EVGA precision X.....someone found a way to exploit it to inject hacks as it has kernel level access......IF YOU NEED THE PROGRAM cause you are still using a EVGA GPU you can rename the file and keep using it.....if you dont have the GPU anymore or are happy with afterburner then just uninstall precision X......
easy......

EA AntiCheat blocks the EVGA driver-x64.sys (often tied to legacy EVGA FlowControl or Precision tools) because it contains a known security vulnerability that can be exploited. To fix this issue, you must close the conflicting software, uninstall or disable the offending program, or rename the flagged driver file.
