I reliably kill tanks with 3 c4 packs placed on the back of the tank, after sneaking up on it. It is definitely easier said than done, and there are plenty of times where the tank manages to spot and kill me.

Yeah I agree. But playing as Recon is more effective than Engineer for taking vehicles dowm is nuts
