Should I buy it?

I wasn't willing to pay £60, now it's half price I might jump in. But the only thing is I'm now a father and I don't get a tone of time to play, a few hours maybe a week if I'm lucky and Ive been told it's super grindy... I don't want that.

The netcode is the worst it's ever been, it's too frustrating to play. Look how many hours I have, it was better during season 1. Progress in reverse. I check back every other week or two, nothing changes. It's Halo Infinite tier netcode.
The game certainly doesn't respect your time on leveling up guns. It was worse before though.

matchmaking is horrible I really regret buying this.

for me 8 out of every 10 rounds i start, i end up on the losing side of a slaughter with less then a 100 tickets to go when i am dropped in.......
its so bad i have 600 matches won VS 3000 loses.....i cant do anything about it when i am loaded in to matches that are over
do NOT pay money to be this frustrated......skill on my end can never fix this....

I've seen, I don't fancy spending weeks grinding for a red dot.

Netcode is really an аss these days, half of my shots just don't register, and I often get wiped out in one or two shots. There's also a problem with the maps; there are literally only a few that are truly worth it, and those were only added half a year later. If you want a modern arcade shooter, you need to wait for a 60% or more, otherwise it’s not worth the money.

I wouldn't. I regret buying it, now. Hitreg is weird, gun meta is a joke, they KEEP playing with how the guns shoot, even now! We're waiting months for basic changes, maps are a mess, earning gun unlocks takes forever, the xp bonuses STILL count down outside of game time despite saying it was fixed, there's a rez bug that's back, the skins are a joke and they're all HEAVILY paywalled (if you care about being the soldier you wanna be, good luck. We couldn't just get a soldier, pick their face, and then be sold skins, oh no!) I could go on and on. I jump on every now and again with friends, trying to capture the old magic, but it's not there.

There is Casual Breakthrough. It gets pretty chill there (or it is, most of the time, for me). Also Conquest is always on the slower side of things if you don't want to play too sweatie.
However, if you're worried about actually getting gun attachments... it's gotten better, so it hasn't been driving me crazy, but some people do or guns can be wonky (like the damn VSSM -- a close range DMR that acts more like an SMG. Sheesh.)

I cannot see your playtime as your account is set to private.

Apparently theres a billion new bugs. New play menu bug, leave black screen bug, just got a new one where I couldnt press any button in game. Just my mouse going around a "crashed" game still going on perfectly fine on the screen. GREAT coding here.

Definitely not. isn't even worth it on sale.
Hit reg is terrible and worse than before.
Net code is still knackered.
Quitting a game halfway through and you end up with black screen.
Audio is still broken despite messing about with the settings loads of times.
The beta ran much better and it should never have been tampered with. Beta was one reason I bought the game and I won't be getting fooled again.
The only redeeming feature is I bought it through Epic store and got cash back on it so at least I didn't pay full price.

Might be TL;DR but I wish someone pointed these things out to me before I bought this game, so here are my thoughts after five-ish hours. I really want to like it but it's not easy. Single player campaign is relying on the server connection, and if the servers are down (which happens often on EA) you can't play it even though it's downloaded as an separate DLC. That is stupid AF.
I don't know about the netcode, as I haven't personally seen anything else than the stock rocket launcher sometimes takes over an second to fire after you've "pulled the trigger". I get kills and deaths equal amount of times, and so far there hasn't been anything fishy about it. I'm not arguing against it, I just haven't experienced the same things many other people have.
The game is really different comparing to 2042. I bet majority here say that's good, but I just have to state the obvious and say it has very little similarities to 2042. The UI is more complicated in 6, there doesn't seem to be a menu which would show you all unlock-conditions, but instead you have to click each gun and each part individually to see what you need to do to unlock them. Vehicles don't feel like they do any damage, and there is visual bug which makes it so that you don't get any indicators are you actually hitting anything. You see an enemy duck behind a cover and fire a couple of rounds there but nothing indicates you've hit them. You just drive around, shoot here and there and hope for the best, and only the scoreboard will tell you are you actually killing anyone. Vehicles do ridiculously little damage to soldiers. You can shoot an single soldier with the AA tank all day long and you can't kill him because most of the bullets miss and those that don't seem to do like 1 hitpoint each. Maybe that's where the infamous netcode is playing a part, but honestly I have a feeling it's just another quirk of Dice instead. I've seen similar things happening on previous titles.
The biggest issue I have is if I leave match early I sometimes get an black screen and have to restart the game. However, even if I stay to the very end and only then return to the main menu, I still have to restart the game because the "play menu" becomes completely unavailable. Sometimes visiting the shooting range fixes it, sometimes it doesn't. That happens every time I return to main menu. You can't change gun parts without going back to main menu, so when you are still on this early stage and unlock things constantly on each match it's pretty much required to return there and then the play menu disappears.
Breakthrough is really bad in 6. That's been my all time favorite game mode before, because the size is more compact compared to Conquest but still had vehicles and big spaces so you didn't miss the grand scale of warfare. Here in 6 the maps are awfully small however and so there aren't many routes for the attackers to take. It's usually just one path, and often times there aren't any vehicles other than unarmed cars or atv's. The new water map looks huge on the trailer, but the Breakthrough version of it doesn't even use the water in any way. You're fighting in a very small village consisting of maybe 10 little houses, you can swim across a small body of water at the village's edge (literally 10 meters or less) and that's all water you have to deal with. You can get an boat but what use it should be I've no idea; No capture points are anywhere near the water.
One other thing is how little XP you gain from playing. The game should have some sort of an XP boost for new players, because leveling up is very slow and obviously better guns, gadgets and weapon parts are locked behind levels. You do get some XP boosts, but not many. I accidentally used both free XP boosts I got from the start, each of them were for 30 minutes but it didn't give me an hour of XP boost but just 30min and the timer keeps going even if you lost the server connection or closed the game.
All in all there is so much missed pote
