Also have been noticing that there will frequently be no warning of missile locking/lock on, just missile launch/incoming warning resulting in flares being deployed too late a lot of the time.
It isn't always the case. But fairly frequent past week.

You might be referring to the one of the new boat missiles where it acts like a TOW, then will instantly lock onto an aircraft if it's close enough, giving the aircraft no reaction time to flare it.

Oh maybe. Only been playing on Tsuru reef. Haven't interacted with boats too much, mostly transport pilot/gunner.
Thanks for the info. Still agree with your post regarding flares being ineffective.

Flaring too early or too late can cause this. Especially against the IGLA.

The IGLA is bugged, also pre-flaring does not cause any issues unless I just stay in the area I pre-flare. Obviously staying in said area allows someone to lock-on again. Also, this bug of missiles going through flares will happen despite you popping your flares at a good time. I am a pilot, I spend a lot of time in aircraft, I know this is a bug.

Obviously, but you are just ignoring the issue I am stating here. The issue being lock-on missiles going through your deployed flares, hitting you anyway. Stop being disingenuous.
