Enemies blending in too much with environment?

I find that often I'm not noticing where enemies are in more dense environment.
I don't recall having that issue in vanilla RTCW. Maybe it's me, but I can't be the only one who thinks that.
I understand this being intentional with certain levels where soldiers are hiding, such as 17.Norway or 23.Dark, But in levels taking place in castles or places with detail-dense textures such as 1.Escape and 13.Kugelsdtat, they are much harder to spot than in Vanilla.
Could a future improvement feature lighting, shading or something to better highlight them?
