Is there something I can do to avoid getting dizzy while playing Quake 3?

Hey!

Since Quake 3 is now free on the Bethesda launcher I wanted to try it after soooo many years (last time I've played it I was a little kid and I've played it on my dreamcast)

The thing is, I get really dizzy after like 15 minutes playing, and also the flashing lights dont help at all.

I don't usually get dizzy with games, I've played lots of different games but this is the only one that always gets me really dizzy.

Any tips?

Set:
/sensitivity 3
/cl_mouseaccel 2
/cg_fov 90

If that doesn't fix it maybe we are just getting old.

Do you have display lag on your monitor? I had your problem a few years ago and it was my shitty VA monitor making me want to hurl, it's just not as noticeable in other games.

Practice playing Panquake so that regular Quake will seem tame by comparison.

Nat 1s are character development.
