They have made it worse each season saying there working on it. Put this along side gunplay which is now trash and you have a dumpster fire game. Season 5 will bring more so called gun balance and more hit reg issues.
Only way to minimise it is let each platform play each other. Cross play does not work and never will. Too many different networking protocols for it to run seamless.
For example.
PC running on either EA or Steam + players with different regions and isp providers
Xbox has its own networking servers + players with different regions and isp providers
Playstation has its own networking servers + players with different regions and isp providers
Now try getting all of this across the world to sync up properly on 30hz/60hz slow out of date ea servers and your asking for the ♥♥♥♥ show we have.
For those of us that know this, we've tried to get this point across. And games that do separate the platforms by option, i.e. ARC Raiders, many issues largely disappeared and the playing experience improved tremendously. Of course, a month into playing the game, it became infested with the usual cheaters and such, however, that's a whole different issue at hand.
On the other hand, there is hours and hours of evidence through content creators, who have crossplay turned on and crossplay turned off in ARC Raiders that showcases many of the issues that is normal with crossplay. And through that evidence, you see the issues get largely resolved.
